Dehumanization Research Project

Objectives:

  • Research an event in history exemplifying dehumanization
  • Create an ad to spread awareness and share your understanding of a historical event involving dehumanization

Procedure:

In pairs, you will research historical issues in dehumanization, narrow your research to one situation, and then create an ad in the form of an E-poster to bring awareness of this issue to the public. Before creating your ad, you will need to take a close look at details surrounding the event: key figures, key places, and effects of the event on the people and culture. We will also examine the effectiveness of ads in persuading an audience to take up a cause. This will allow you to fully understand how to present your E-poster to a target audience successfully. More than likely, the topic you research will have occurred in the past, but you are to bring awareness to the event as if it is currently happening. You will select your event from a list of pre-approved topics found on the libguide. Your total project must include:
